Hi! It's me, Moss! Mom says I have to tell you that I'm a whole 5 and a half months old now, and weigh 30.5lbs.

And Speck[lehead] is mad at me because mom said *I* could post today! haha!

I've had a couple of Big Adventures over the past few weeks, but the funnest one is about WATER.

i.LOVE.water.

See, here is my wee puppy self in the Puppy Pool:

And then when I was bigger, I got to play in the Big Dog Pool!

This is me swimming "for real" for the first time!

And this is me trying to herd Speckles and swim at the same time. It didn't work very well.

But then I discovered the MOST FUN THING in the WHOLE WORLD:

SWIMMING WITH AUNTIE NICOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and having a float coat (thanks auntie caitlin!) so i can swimz forever and not get drownded like i almost did where auntie nicole went in the water with all her clothes on so she could save me)

I got to chase the Sparkle-Splashes forever!

And then Auntie Nicole showed me how to make the Biggest Splashes EVER! Here I am diving for the first time (I don't know why mom keeps saying "falling"):

but I learned that if I *jumped*, I could make bigger splashes!

But then Auntie Nicole said it was time for me to get out of the water! I told her I didn't wanna!!!

And then I tried my hardest to swimz away but I couldn't!!!

So she said Fiiinnnee, I could have ONE more jump!

BONNSAAIIIIIIIII!

I also got to see all my friends and meet tons of new people! (hi auntie mickey, thanks again for playing Splashies with me in the Little Pool!!)

Pricks

well, that's what his ears are *trying* to be today...

hahaaa!

Look at Sammy! He's in JAIL!

Wanna know why? Cuz he's a jerk. He wants to eat me! No idea why. I am the silentest, mellowest, goodest dog ever. Wanna know why there's a red roof? Cuz mom found out he can jump the 42" ex-pen!!! Gotta give him props for the mad ups, I guess.

But I have super-talents, too. I can stand on my hind legs forever! Here I am yelling at stoopidSam:

But I know this is why you're really here (hrmph.):

He's my bestest bud.

and he's working hard to make Meara think so, too...

Wanna know what we're all laughing about here?

It might be when Moss did a faceplant when trying to jump on the bed...

Or when he was trying to catch the sunlight in the pool...

...boys are dumb.

What the...?!?!

Do you know what this is:
It is my look of utter disbelief!
(or maybe it's me waiting for the ball)

Mom took us for a long drive on Friday, and we came home with this:

Oh hi! My name is Moss (fornow)!

I'm a border collie....see?

I like to swim,

dig,

and chase my Big Brudder around!

I bet I would like naptime, too, except I am abused - I can't even lie down properly!

That's why they call it the blue(s)!

Well guess what? I have a sister! Besides the fact that it happened MONTHS ago, I have to say I love having Meara around...we get to play Whappy-Face every morning! Most times, she'll just come up to the side of the bed, and raise a front paw to smack me in the face. Except that I am a super-speckly-ninja and I can prance and hop and whip and swirl around, confusing her with my plumage! We don't get to play for very long, though, because Samwise-Fun-Police makes us stop when things get too wild.

Mom says Meara is continuing to gain confidence. I think she's fine. As long as she doesn't try to steal my stuff, it's all good! But she seems to like my crate, and that's just fine since I don't really like it myself. Sam even lets her *touch* him when they are both napping on the bed!

Here's a family portrait:

But enough about her! Mom says I am becoming SUCH a GoodBoy! I met her cousin-in-law the other day and wasn't even nervous! When I saw her outside, I followed Sam to go sniff her, and then I climbed up her to give her kisses. I didn't even have to bark at her! Also, Mom took me to a farm about a month ago, where I met these things call "PUPPEEZ". They are weird and I don't know why she would take me there. Here's me seeing one for the first time:

Meara and Sam were just as impressed as I was.

Anyway, Mom let me run free that day (well, sort of...she had a superextralong leash on me, but let me run wherever I wanted). And I stayed by all the people and dogs and PUPPEEZ, and when I started to run off by myself, Mom called and I came back. And I didn't find a dog to focus on and bark at or hump (much)...I ran around sniffing, eating cow poop and playing ball. Kinda like a "normal" dog. She was so proud and so surprised. I don't know why she worries so much. She needs to listen to Auntie Petra and Auntie Amy, who say she should trust me more!

Well, I feel a thunderstorm coming so I'm gonna go hide in the closet...catch ya later!
