I'm 2!

Oh wow, it's been a long time since I wrote, huh? Well, I have some good reasons, and one of them is this:

That's Meara and she's one of the Lucky 7. Mom and Samwise and I went to the Farm and stayed for a whole month to take care of her and the rest of them! Plus, Mom says the camera was being "temperamental" for awhile, too. Whatever! But today is my birthday and I'm all growed up cuz I'm 2! Wanna see what I got?

That's right, ladies + gents! In order to keep myself in top condition for agility, I have taken it upon myself to learn how to dance!

I thought I was pretty smart finding some moves on the intarwebz. Here is my version of the "lawnmower".


Then I found the similar, yet subtly different "bicycle".


I don't know why Mom and Samwise fell to the floor laughing. I thought I did a great job! Mom muttered something about "white boy [can't] dance moves".

So then I thought I'd get some Culture and found the "can can".


and, well, nobody is a dancer unless they can do "Elaine's Dance"!



what do you guys think...am I ready to quit agility for a life of dance competitions??!

The Phoenix has landed!

Look who came to play with me! It's Cuzzin Phoenix, a reskewed pup like me! Isn't he such a pretty-boy?


Mom keeps saying this is what a real border collie should act like. I don't know what she's talking about.




All I know is that he can't do this!

Is it my new ball? nope.

Was it the weekend at the farm? nope.

er. well. not really. I mean, every time I go to the farm I get a little braver, but confidence isn't the only thing that makes me so irresistible!

Auntie Allison brought me my very own leash + collar! Isn't it perfect? And when we got home, my very own tag was waiting for me! Mom says it was handmade just for me by Tessa...mom even got a matching tag to put on the leash since I don't like people reaching for my collar. I guess that means if I run away, I should make sure my leash is on, huh?

Guess what Samwise got? NOTHING! hahahaha!

He pouted under the bed until he found out mom bought treats, too...

wow. it took almost a whole month for two things to happen at the same time:
1. the sun to come out
2. mom remembering to take the camera outside

Hi everybody! Mom FINALLY decided what my new name is going to be: NEBCR's Merry Specklehead! She says she knows it sounds really funny, and not at all appropriate for a border collie, but it "fits" me...kinda like my tail. That means I'm special, right?

For you guys who don't know me, mom says I made her FAiL fostering for the first time...that means I won, right? Here's how it happened:

"Hey Speckles, wanna stay here forever?"
